A Journey of Hope

As Barb and I make our final preparations for departure on Sunday, we would greatly appreciate your prayers as we travel together on this journey of hope.

I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his people, and his incomparably great power for us who believe. (Ephesians 1:18-19)

Connect in Amsterdam and arrive in Nairobi at 7 PM - First Night in Africa

1st Day in Africa

Listening to and Learning from African Leaders about HIV and AIDS

Day 5: Thursday October 25 (Called to be Light: Ephesians 5:8)
Listening to and Learning from African Leaders on Cross Cultural Partnerships
Pray for African World Vision Staff

Day 6: Friday October 26 (Called to Unity: Romans 15:5)
Travel to Ethiopia and the Guraghe Area Development Project (ADP)
Pray for Travel and Off Road Safety

Day 7: Saturday October 27 (Called to Reflect God’s Kingdom:(Mt. 24:14)
On-site visit in the Guraghe (ADP)
Pray for a Heart of Compassion

Day 8: Sunday October 28 (Called to Wisdom: Proverbs 37:30)
Worshipping with our Ethiopian sisters and brothers, followed by a movable feast with local pastors and leaders
Pray for Unity

Day 9: Monday October 29 (Called to Compassion: Colossians 3:12)
On-site in the Guraghe ADP. Opportunity to meet our sponsored children.
Pray for Help and Hope for Widows and Orphans

Day 10: Tuesday October 30 (Called to Encouragement: 1 Thess 5:11)
Return to Nairobi and Travel to Masa Mara for our time of debriefing
Pray for the Spirit of Encouragement

Day 11: Wednesday October 31 (Called to Action: Ephesians 2:10)
Debriefing in Masa Mara
Pray for the Integration of Needs into our Lives, Churches, and Communities

Day 12: Thursday November 1 (Called to Endurance and Patience: Colossians 1:10-12)
Final Day in Africa
Pray for our Reflection and Rejoicing in God’s Creation
